Predators and ecosystems

November 13, 2015

John Terbough describes what happens to rain forest when the predators are removed. Of course, many “wild” areas throughout the world have had their large animal populations reshaped more drastically than just the removal of predators. And not being tropical rain forest, they don’t have nearly as complex a system of herbivores. The problem of conservation is a hard one, and I don’t think it is answered simply.
