The GOP’s common sense?

October 22, 2015

A small group of radical Republicans in the House have so far prevented the selection of a new speaker, while the party’s base is rejecting Republican politicians running for president in favor of Trump and Carson.

David Brooks is fed up with Republican incompetence.

Bernanke is fed up with Republican economic fantasies.

Bob Woodward trusts in Republican common sense:

The Republican Party has a certain gravitational pull that devolves and it is ‘lets do something sensible. We want to win the presidency.’ And the polling and common sense will take you away from Trump getting the nomination.

I don’t know what Woodward is smoking, but he needs to put it down long enough to see the 21st century.

Udpate: The US Chamber of Commerce is fed up, too.
