Women and combat
A young friend of mine is engaged in a bout of intense physical training, trying to increase his options as a new recruit. He now is doing a couple hundred push-ups daily, and dozens of pull-ups. An average young man working hard.
The Army announced last week that all eight women in Ranger School had failed. The Marines had a similar experience with its Infantry Officer Course. There are few roles in today’s military where raw strength still matters, and fewer still outside the military.
