CO2 radiative forcing measured

March 6, 2015

Researchers from Berkeley Lab directly measured the radiative forcing from atmospheric CO2 in Oklahoma and on the north slope, from 2000 to 2010. It took some pretty fancy spectroscopy to separate the signals of the different greenhouse gases. They saw exactly what theory would lead them to expect. A practice and mark of real science is increasingly refined data from the field. (Cite.)
