Do you have the time?

I stopped wearing a watch years before I started carrying a cellphone, when the time was available on any terminal, and blinked at you from your car dashboard. A watch was a nuisance, creating a white circle on your skin, getting in the way and sometimes damaged when you did anything mechanical, and thankfully, after having worn one from the time I was a boy, no longer necessary. Morgan Stanley thinks the iWatch will drive Apple’s next growth spurt. There are doubters. True, there also were doubters of the iPhone. But mostly whether Apple could leapfrog existing phones. And there were doubters of the iPad. So maybe Morgan Stanley is right. Women’s clothes often lack pockets large enough for a smart phone. Is a smart watch a fashionable alternative? A practical alternative? Is smaller always better? We will see…
