Fraudulent colleges and their defenders

March 26, 2014

Our horrible system of student loans has spurred a raft of faux colleges that have as their sole purpose saddling young people with inescapable debt. Phoenix University and ITT are two of the worst offenders. Ideally, Congress would repeal the laws that put student debt on a level above all other debt. Barring that, it’s a good thing that the federal government is suing ITT for predatory lending practices.

Alas, these fake colleges have their defenders. Bobby Jindal should hang his head in shame.
