Anti-vax hysteria is not partisan

The notion that vaccines cause autism is sometimes cited as an example that liberals also carry a kind of anti-science tribalism, similar to conservative opposition to evolution and climate science. It turns out, though, that liberals are no more likely that conservatives to believe that vaccines cause autism. The linked article is mistaken in its title, though. It’s not that the belief is non-ideological. It’s just a kind of ideology that spans the political spectrum here in the US.
