Japanese sex and patriarchy

Have the Japanese young stopped having sex? That’s the claim of this Guardian article that is getting quite a bit of attention. It’s not the lack of lust, but the lack of economic opportunity that is impeding family formation, according to a Bloomberg blogger Max Fisher, who also points to Japan’s gender stratification. Regardless, Japan’s demographic decline could have global economic consequence.
